The Shard

Architect: Renzo Piano
Is it just me or does The Shard just look unfinished at the top?? Then again, it is meant to look like a shard of glass and that's part of an incomplete structure. It cost £1.2 billion to build, has 11,000 glass panels, 20% of the steel work was from recycled sources and 95% of the construction materials are recycled. At 1,016 feet high, it's the tallest building in Europe and has been a key feature in the rebranding/regeneration and development of the London Bridge area attracting tourism ( Visit the Shard ) and new entrepreneurs and businesses.
